Chapter One
It Started in Madrid
Before we ever met, our story had already begun.
In 2004, while Harry was studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, he became friends with Matt’s best friend, Luigi («Gino»). Convinced we’d get along, Gino introduced us long before we ever met in person. We talked on the phone from opposite sides of the world, but life pulled us in different directions—Harry returned to Florida to finish college, while Matt prepared for an adventure in Shanghai.
For a while, it seemed like that would be the end of the story.
Thankfully, it wasn’t.
Chapter Two
Boston Changed Everything
A few years later, Harry flew from Florida to Boston for an informal reunion with friends.
He thought Matt was still living in China.
Instead, Matt walked into the room.
Matt made the first move. Harry was a little shy, but the connection was immediate. There was an effortless chemistry, endless conversation, and the feeling that we’d somehow known each other much longer than a single evening.
That weekend, Matt introduced Harry to Boston—and to his first real bowl of New England clam chowder. (Needless to say, it was much better than the canned version.)
Chapter Three
Building a Life Together
As the years passed, our adventures became something even more meaningful.
We bought our first home.
We became proud pet parents.
We built traditions that became uniquely ours.
What we discovered was that our greatest adventures weren’t always measured in miles traveled, but in the ordinary moments of creating a life together.
Harry brings curiosity, spontaneity, and the excitement of asking, «Where should we go next?»
Matt brings calm, optimism, and the quiet confidence of saying, «We’ve got this.»
Together, we’ve found the perfect balance.
Chapter Four
The World Became Our Playground
Travel has always been part of our love language.
One of the most meaningful trips we ever took was to Mexico for a friend’s wedding. Neither of us realized then that the journey would quietly change our lives forever.
Over the years, we explored more of the country together, visited Cuba so Matt could experience Harry’s roots and family, and continued discovering new places side by side.
Every trip reminded us that the best memories aren’t about checking destinations off a list—they’re about sharing them with someone you love.
Chapter Five
Finding Home in Mérida
Eventually, what began as a place we loved to visit became a place we chose to call home.
Mérida has given us friendships, community, incredible food, beautiful architecture, peaceful mornings, unforgettable sunsets, and a slower pace of life that reminds us what truly matters.
It has become one of the places where we feel most like ourselves.
Which is why we couldn’t imagine celebrating this day anywhere else.

More than anything, we hope this weekend helps you understand why Mérida has captured our hearts.
This celebration is about much more than a wedding.
It’s about sharing a place that has become part of our story.
We hope you wander the colorful streets, linger over long meals, enjoy conversations that last well into the evening, and fall in love with this city just as we did.
